Background
The durayappa stadium is situated in the heart of the Jaffna city, near the Jaffna fort and the public library. This stadium is patronized by the adults who work hard during the day and spend the evenings by performing various exercises, and the children who enjoy running around in the open islan, seating accommodation is provided to enable large numbers of sport fans and spectators to view the events that take place in the stadium.
